You might start to get a little frustrated when you start thinking about how to go about styling your coffee table. It can seem like a small task at first but can evolve into something a larger quite quick. It can be overwhelming knowing there are a lot of options to choose, but you should let that scare you away.
We have some ideas below to limit those down for you and give you a bit of ease:
Stick with glass
Why not simply stick with the glass table option and show off all of your prize accessories while not overpowering anything a clear design will let your possessions do the talking.
Go for the library look
Use your coffee table to house all your book or maybe just some of your favourites, either way, the addition of the litterateur will give the impression of a piece of furniture that is functional even if it’s not.
Show off your flowers
A little more of a minimal approach would be to merely have a vase of fresh flowers on display to brighten up the place. Don’t have any flowers available? Just using the empty vase can also create a nice accent piece for the table.
Multipurpose coffee table?
If your coffee table isn’t just a piece of furniture that’s on display but also gets used for more practical purposes such as dining or playing boards games. A tray is a brilliant way to have things on your table that you want but also gives you the option just to lift it off and put it somewhere else when the table is needed for other activities.
When’s a coffee table not a coffee table?
To answer that question, when it’s a vintage chest or cushioned bench for example. There isn’t a rule about using something other than a coffee table for a coffee table so why not try thinking outside the box.
More is more
No one ever said there was a limit so why not go for multiple tables? Adding more than one coffee table to a room can create a more complex aesthetic but this is obviously more of personal preference, so you will have to decide if it’s for you.
