The importance of sleep
Many of us are sleepless, an issue that is worse than you could understand. Not just fatigue or poor rest for a long time, but severe illnesses like arthritis, hypertension and obesity can result. A little exercise can also have an adverse effect on focus, memories and response moments in your everyday lives.
The average teenager takes 7 to 9 hours per evening, but the latest study revealed that only 40% of our clients regularly do so. Most are 5 to 6 hours a morning with some of them still resting for 4 hours or less. Furthermore, only 40% of our clients feel happy with the quality of their bed. About 35% claim they regularly eat poorly, or very poorly (10% claim that their bed is very nice, while some 15% think it’s nice).
There are a lot of factors why we are don’t sleep well, like interruptions, pressure and concern. However, many of us do not realise that our sleeping surroundings are another consideration. Your sleep quality will be affected if your bedroom isn’t well designed. This involves your room temperature, the comfort of your beds and bedding as well as stuff like colour, clutter and technology.
How to create a better sleep environment
We have provided a few points to create your own dream sanctuary and to improve the quality of your sleep.
Colour palettes
Now it’s the moment to reflect on the decor. The concept is to build a sanctuary that is calming and restful. Colour produces a mood, so wait for a tone that will make you feel calm. While calming, after a restful night’s rest, it should also assist you in feeling refreshed and motivated. Avoid vivid colours such as yellow, as panic and drama are connected with them. Look instead at calming and comfortable colour schemes with mild colour pops if necessary.
